ARTICLE Smash Court Tennis 2 is presented
On the terrace of the Círculo de Bellas Artes building and along with Juan Carlos Ferrero and Manolo Santana...
Sony called the press in last Friday the 15 to present their new tennis game from Namco for PlayStation2: Smash Court Tennis 2. The location chosen was not very common, the 6th floor of the terrace of the Círculo de Bellas Artes building.
Javier Reyero presented along with Juan Carlos Ferrero. In the first part of the event, they showed the television ad, clearly based on movies like Saving Private Ryan. Ferrero explained how the clip was filmed and the fun time they had doing it.
Later Manolo Santana, who was also there, went up on stage with Ferrero to demonstrate the game with a match between the two of them. It was a duel between the two stars of Spanish tennis from different times. Ferrero, who moments before had admitted his love for video games, didn't let Manolo take control of the game and finished it off in the first two sets.
After this short presentation, came a press conference where the sporting press hounded the tennis player with questions about his physical condition, and his plans for playing Roland Garros and defending his crown at the Madrid Masters Series.
Among the questions there was some reference to the world of video games and Juan Carlos admitted that his Playstation2 is a good companion to him on his trips, but without letting it take time away from his girlfriend.
'Smash Court Tennis 2' will be out May 26th.
