The 200cm left-hander won 91 per cent of points on his first serve, clocking a highest speed of 222kmh, and claimed the match with a deft second-serve ace.
Guccione, 20, won three consecutive points to earn the only break of the third set in the 11th game.
He took a 6-5 lead after a scorching forehand down the line, and then overcame a few nervous points early in his service game to take the match.
