RESULTS Seeds Make Hard Work, But Advance on Day 1

Juan Carlos Ferreo is seeded No. 7. Former World No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero led three seeds through to the secound round of the Ordina Open Sunday. The seventh-seeded Spaniard, playing in 's-Hertogenbosch for the first time, defeated Dutch wild card Robin Haase 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Ferrero improved to 16-12 on the year and will now attempt to reach just his third quarterfinal of the year.
