JUAN CARLOS FERRERO, CARLOS MOYA, JIRI NOVAK, DAVID SKOCH, PETR PALA and GILLES SIMON went to the Monza Carting Track in Vienna to try out their driving skills. Former World No. 1s Ferrero and Moya, both car lovers, proved to be great driver with Ferrero winning the race and Moya finishing third.
“When I have time I like to go carting,” Ferrero said. “I like it so much and I do it a lot of times. I like the speed, I go to a race circuit at home as often as I can, trying to improve all the time.”
His countryman, Moya, was clearly disappointed with his car’s performance: “It was a great experience but my engineers didn’t do their job,” he lamented. “My car was much slower than Juan Carlos’ car... It was nice to race with these guys though. I love to go fast when I can but I’m driving very carefully.”
A similar sentiment came from Novak, who said, “I was one of the best drivers here but I had a very bad car… We had a lot of fun but I was a little bit scared in the beginning, but later on I was going pretty well but it wasn’t enough today. I think we all enjoyed this race, it was a lot fun.”
